… you should see me in the dress


‘…you should see me in the dress’ is a new piece of video work first presented as part of Remembering the Future Exhibition at VISUAL Carlow. Launched at Carlow Arts Festival 2023.

The exhibition included the first large scale exhibition in a visual art context of the Irish NAMES Project quilts, a series of works made in the 1990s in Dublin to commemorate victims of the AIDS crisis.

Works in the exhibition were from a diverse range of local, national and international artists working in a variety of media. Together, they highlight the importance of both remembering the past, and imagining the future.

‘…you should see me in the dress’ received an Artworks Bursary Award, awarded to artists in the exhibition who demonstrated ‘exceptional promise’.
